For more than fifty years, the UK piling industry has relied upon the tripod method of pile installation to install 450 and 600mm diameter piles in limited access and low headroom situations. Little has changed over that period, save for the introduction of diesel and electric powered machinery. The basic technique remains virtually unchanged. Piling Solutions was formed in August 1998 to develop equipment that was capable of installing high capacity 450 and 600mm diameter augered piles in low headroom and limited access situations, offering an alternative to the more traditional tripod system. The company is "solution" oriented and client focused. To that end, we offer a comprehensive design service through partnership with a specialist consulting engineering practice. We offer a conventional design and construct service. However, as we operate without any fixed pre-conceptions, we are also able to offer an "alternative design" service, deconstructing conforming schemes and re-arranging them to suit our client's programme and access restrictions.
