The TD 500 Drop Hammer rig from Piling Equipment Specialists is a specialist mini-piling rig that has been developed especially for today’s limited access, low headroom mini-piling market. The TD500 features an extendable telescopic mast and adjustable tracking which enables it to access restricted or limited access areas.

The TD500 drop hammer rig consists of a 1.0 tonne robust post drop hammer, built on a rubber track crawler base. The rig has the capability to install 150mm to 300mm diameter, permanent steel cased piles, to a desired depth using an internal drop weight. It can be used with a drop hammer weight of up to a 500kg. The TD500 rig has the added advantage of having an extendable mast, which can be adjusted to enable work in a limited/restricted headroom of 2.2 metres. The mast and crawler tracks can be retracted so that it will go through a standard household doorway to a size of 720mm, and opens up to a maximum 3.2 metres headroom. When permitted the TD500 will open up to a maximum width of 1020mm and 3200mm in height. The drop rig is powered via a fast-tow, super silenced, hydraulic power pack. On open sites the TD500 can pull its own power unit around with it, but when working inside houses/confined spaces you can simply detach the power pack and with the use of hydraulic extensions lines it is possible to use the machine up to 25.0 metres away from the stationary power pack.
